Goldwire Drive

The aim of this design was to integrate the recently constructed conservatory into the garden, and to create some interesting areas by breaking the garden up.

I also had to address the problem of the slope which runs from top left-hand corner of the garden to the bottom right ensuring that during wet weather the rainwater runs off the garden picking up garden soil on the way and deposits it onto the old terrace. My clients also have a young son who needs to kick a ball around the garden.

By cutting a level lawn circle into the slope to be surrounded by borders not only gave my client a flat area of lawn but also elevated some of the drainage problems. At the entrance to the circle the brick edging is flush with the lawn, however as the edge runs around each side of the circle it gradually rises finally becoming a low wall to retain the border behind.

In the top right hand corner of the garden there was a very odd corner with a badly constructed deck and pergola. I removed the deck while still retaining the pergola and replaced it with a Bradstone Old Town Sun Circle together with some lush planting we now have a secluded seating area.

We are immensely pleased with it and would recommend anyone to use the Garden Path for a hassle free creative and functional solution.
