Oakridge House
I originally designed the garden at Inglenook Cottage for my good friends Ian and Amanda back in 2003. They subsequently brought the plot of land next to their cottage and built a new house on it, Oakridge House.
My services were then called upon again. I photographed the plot before it was cleared and as you will see it was just scrubby woodland. We decided to clear the whole plot leaving just the majestic Purple Beech.
The design for the garden at Inglenook Cottage was a typical Cottage Garden theme whereas with children now on the scene and an altogether different building, I had to come up with a design which catered for playing children and a slightly more contemporary feel to suit the new house.
The service we received was extemporary... Seeing the design on paper was only the start of it - once the work and planting had been completed the results were amazing.
