Country Garden One

Country Garden Two

In late 2008 I was approached by a Landscape Architect, Max Askew of Askew Nelson and invited to tender for a large garden construction project. I duly submitted my tender and after a short wait discovered that I had won the contract.

The plan was to renovate the existing garden and extend out doubling its size creating terraces with ‘rooms’ enclosing an Ellipse Pool and a Sculpture and finally a grass Tennis Court.

In early 2009 we began by moving thousands of tons of soil to create the Terraces for the new garden. We the relocated Yew Shrubs to enclose the Ellipse Pool and Sculpture Garden.

Throughout 2009 new paths were built, lawns were laid, long borders planted and a Lavender Parterre created. Finally a Turf Mound was formed and planted with 3,500 daffodil bulbs.

It is now 2010 and we maintaining and developing this glorious garden that we have built.
